Launching an app takes a lot of work and typically requires developers, or at least that’s what many people think.
I’m a non-technical founder who always felt restricted by the technical barriers of app building. There was a time when you needed a developer to start a tech company, but I’m going to show you how you can do it without writing a single line of code. I designed, built, and launched an app entirely on no-code tools. No-code unlocked so many doors for me, allowing my creativity to run free and build what I wanted. I believe no-code startups will help uncover the next generation of founders.
It’s tempting to think that if you’re not a technical founder, then you can’t start a tech company. That’s wrong. You can — if you use the right tools.
Here’s a list of no-code tools to launch your next startup…
Bubble for web/mobile apps
Bubble is a no-code app development framework that lets you design, develop, host, and scale applications without writing any code.
I call it magic, but really it uses logic-based frameworks like “when/if” certain things happen to launch a workflow. Bubble allows other applications to build plugins within the platform to make your app more dynamic. Once you learn the basics of its logic and workflows, it will truly be the playground for building your vision.

Carrd for websites
Websites are obviously table stakes for any startup, but with so many options out there it can be hard to choose.
Carrd leans on simplicity. It provides a simple single-page website builder for whatever you’re project may be. This is great for launching a product, waiting list, or any landing page use case. I also find that the constraints force me to be much clearer in what the site is about.
Learning curve: low
Zapier for automation
When you’re working in no-code, you have to rely on multiple platforms to talk to each other and that’s where Zapier comes in.
Zapier describes itself as “the glue that connects thousands of web apps.” Much like Bubble, Zapier uses logic to trigger actions. You may want new signups to receive an email or update a database for a customer profile. Whatever the action, it can almost certainly be built in Zapier.

No-code will define the next generation of founders
You no longer need to spend weeks, months, or even years learning programming languages to develop the next big thing.
That’s time you could spend finding users, talking to customers, getting feedback, testing ideas — you know, every other part of the business. By removing coding as a barrier and replacing it with drag-and-drop tools, logic, and automation, founders can get their ideas into the world faster than ever.
I hope more non-technical founders will see no-code as their path to starting, launching, and scaling their startups.
